I had some wonderful, local dishes whilst in Crete. The Greeks love their cheese, and so do I! From snails, to lamb and not forgetting the pork, I had some fantastic meat in Crete. They do also make a whole host of vegetarian beauties too. Saganaki using Cretan cheese and Fried Zucchini were delicious! As much as I love relaxing by the pool and soaking up the sun, I can’t stop my itchy feet. Read about our introduction to Cretan farming, the fantastic scenery and the local sights we saw. We travelled out to Knossos Palace, a major touristic archaeological site, and clambered up the rocky hills on Spinalonga Island, accidentally on purpose. In Volume 1 you can find: an overview of the package we booked; a review of the Palmon Bay Hotel, including our fancy Superior Double Room and the beautiful Beach Club; our Spa experience; some useful Montenegrin to get you started! Montenegro means the Black Mountain and the scenery was truly stunning, especially from the rooftop terrace bar – made it worth it to pay 6€ for a beer. This was my first time to Montengro in June 2023 and we had an amazing week in the sun. I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
