Engrossing Europe: Volume One – Brilliant Buses and Timely Trains
Join me on our European Tour from March 2022. 6 countries stayed in overnight, 10 countries physically stood in, 8 countries had a beer in. An experience never to forget. Green travel by bus and trains allows you to see the countries you’re travelling and discover them in a new way. Hidden Highland Hotspots: 3 Local Independent Breweries
Three local, independent breweries in the Scottish Highlands full of myth, modernity and mindfulness. I recall my visit to Black Isle Brewery in December 2022, as well as my two most recent brewery discoveries: Glen Spean Brewing Co. and Uile Bheist. I caught up with the Head and Sole brewer at Uile Bheist, as well as the primary owner/one of the brewers at Glen Spean and chatted about their beer. The highlands are beautiful and these independent breweries fit right in. You can also find my personal beer notes to the breweries’ beers I tried.

A Scottish Craft Beer Festival in its second year, from cask to keg and pizza in between. Nestled in a corner of Glasgow, this new festival advertises more than 150 beers available. This isn’t necessarily what’s on offer, however. Come with me for an honest and thorough review of this new festival organised by SIBA. You may even find an interview with a local brewer squeezed in.
